Iranian short 'Whole to Part' has made way to the screening program of two international film festivals in Turkey and Argentina.

Directed by Vahid Hosseini, the short film is shortlisted as one of the finalists to vie at the competition section of the 14th Mar del Plata International Film Festival in Argentina, scheduled for October 11-12, 2018.

The Iranian short film will then attend the panorama section of the 20th İzmir International Short Film Festival, set to be held on October 30-November 4, 2018, in Turkey.

The 12-minute short tells the story of the destruction of a dictator's statue that transforms into the form of small objects. However, it prolongs its existence among people.

'Whole to Part' has previously won the best experimental film award at the 34th Tehran International Short Film Festival.

The Best Film Award at the Lucania Film Festival in Italy is the most recent award that 'Whole to Part' brought home.

Hosseini has also directed 'Distorted Memories of a Lake' which attended a number of international film events, including the US Wiper Film Festival and the Golden Panda North America International Short Film Festival in Canada.

The Mar del Plata International Film Festival is the oldest and only Latin American Film Festival to reflect the universe of Argentine and international cinema to the world.

The International Izmir Short Film Festival is the largest event of its kind in Turkey, and the first to award prizes to international short films.
